The Company

Cycles Africa was founded in March 1997 and is a partnership. The two partners are Malcolm Cunnington, a Registered Professional Engineer and his son Robert Cunnington a qualified cycle mechanic and International Level rider.

Together this team set out with a two founding concepts – to import and distribute, on a wholesale basis, fine quality bikes and bike components and provide excellent service.
The spirit of the mission was to become established as a leading importer capable of service, pure “seat of the pants’ riding experience and professional technical knowledge.

A brief look at the major world suppliers whom we represent will clearly show that we have followed, if not, exceeded our mission.

However, our commitment to the rider goes further than just fulfilling his initial requirement. We aim to enhance his riding pleasure by giving him the assurance that his chosen component is not only a quality product purchased at a fair price, but that the product is backed by an importer who will ensure that throughout it’s life, either within or outside the warranty period, the item will be fully supported should service or maintenance be required.
